Purpose

15 Jul

Well, here I am.

I’m Alice. I’m new to blogging. Brand, spankin’ new. I really have no idea what I’m doing.

I fell in love with blogs May 2009. Since then, I’ve discovered that people blog about EVERYTHING. Seriously. Food, fitness, fashion, make up, illness, goals, lifestyle choices, career planning.

So what the heck am I doing? Good question. I’m going to wing it for now. Hopefully, after a few posts, I’ll find my way.

I’m 21 and I live in New York. I’m entering senior year of college and have no idea what I’m doing. Cue the blogging! I guess, I just want this blog to serve as a reminder to live in the present. I want to use it to figure out what I like. What do I like doing? What do I like reading? Where do I want to work? Where do I want to travel? Yes, this blog is going to initially be very self-absorbed. What I hope is that it eventually finds a purpose. I hope people stumble upon it and enjoy it as much as I enjoy many random blogs out there smile.

I want to use this blog to bring out the best in me. The part that is too lazy to volunteer, take up a new hobby, sit down and write. I want it to help me be grateful, to inspire me, and to remain an outlet for creativity.

I thought the confusion and feeling of being lost ended at twenty? Nope, just starting! This blog is going to help me remain positive! Yes! Because I say so! – Well, I’ll really work on the optimism at least.

Inspiration for blogging suddenly struck after I realized how good of a day I had while folding towels. Seize the day! I will. And I plan on channeling all of my new outlook, good fortune, karma and unending cheesiness right here.

Anyone out there with me?
